About Me
Hello there!
I dunno how you managed to find this isolated blog in the depths of the internet... but welcome.
My name is FictionGirl3 and I consider myself a bookworm. Here are some few facts about me:
- I'm a European and have been living in Europe my whole life (disclosed information of my living- and birthplace)
- I have been reading since I was three years old
- I love fantasy and sci-fi - as a teen, I hated reading romance novels, and now I still rather prefer novels with minimal romance
- I'm active in fandom since around 2022 - for the longest time, I didn't know fandom spaces existed and until recently I had only passively consumed fanfiction and fanart... I'll let you know someday in which fandoms I'm exactly active in
- I love getting myself absorbed into fantastical stories with great worldbuilding and lore
- It's only 2021 onwards that I really got interested in reading non-fiction, because I realized in the next point
- I also love reading for knowledge. I want to have some questions answered and to be able to create new ones
- My favourite colour is red, my favourite food is anything spicy and/or sweet, and I love to research stuff I'm not studying :P
- I love exploring historical places - castles, ruins, battlefields, city centres, etc.
- I have favourite books and shows... tons of them (Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Cornelia Funke's works, Herman Hesse's Narziss and Goldmund, The Perfume, etc.)
Going on with the purpose of this blog... honestly this is just for me to keep track of everything I've read. I'm constantly afraid of having reviews influence my own opinion, and I mostly can't describe in words what I feel about a certain book. So this blog is an exercise for me to learn to express myself more and to properly argue why I enjoy/hate a certain novel.
In summary, this is mainly a book review blog.
Another main purpose of this blog is to have a catalogue of every single type of book I've read... mainly having a very international book catalogue. I'm set with what genres I enjoy reading the most, and what genres I will avoid all the time, but I would love to have diverse takes on certain tropes and to delve into different cultures. May they be fantastical or real.
Come with me and let's delve into the many books and authors I encounter!
Cheers!
FictionGirl3
